On The Road

image

On the road means being on a journey. Going somewhere or working on something for a long period of time. While taking photos for this post it hit me that I’m actually on the road. Literally yes, because of the location of the shoot.Metaphorically too,the background speaks a lot, basically on the road to me is my journey through fashion blogging.

I chose to pay more attention on the metaphorical meaning because this specific road relates with my journey.
As a blogger I still have a long way to go,lots of miles to walk. The road is rough and muddy, I come across tough times, sometimes I feel like I should stop and go back. But the nice people I meet along the road(you, other bloggers, friends, family) lift me up,inspire me to keep moving forward.
On this road it gets dark and rainy sometimes.I shiver and look for light.Prayers give me strength and get me through these times. On a new day the sun shines, makes me smile and I feel motivated to work harder, I feel strong and ready to face my challenges, then an inner voice keeps telling me “keep up with the pace”.
The road is hilly and steep,I get tired,at times I just wanna pause everything and sleep. Then I’m reminded why I shouldn’t stop walking by phrases like “No Pain No Gain”.There’s no turning back, I must keep going.
On this road I’m not just walking, there are a lot of things to be done on this road.Shortcuts are not an option, I balance through books, blogging and my personal life. This journey has a purpose and it’s my mission to work on every purpose.
I used to think I’m on this road alone, but no, I only own a path. The road is big for all of us to share.Every time I’m taking a walk I meet new people, some good, some bad, some nice,we keep walking together, though everyone on his/her own path.
The road of your life may seem long and rough, but never give up.If your guts tell you, your are on the right track keep going. You’ll meet negative energy along your road, nothing comes easy, keep walking.Be hopeful for the future,I don’t know about you but I believe at the end of every tunnel there’s light.Keep Walking!

This post is a TBT because of the sweater, it’s vintage. It takes me back to the 90’s and reminds me a lot about Hindsight-the series. The combat boots have always been there and it’s just amazing how they remain fashionable, year in,year out.
